The Institute for Families in Society (IFS) is seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst/Cartographer to drive the continued growth, evolution, and adoption of our GIS strategy and platform in health policy research. Position requires use of GIS software, tools, and methods to generate maps and other visualization products (paper, image, pdf, poster, infographic, and web) and conduct routine spatial analyses based on predefined procedures. Position is responsible for IHPR’s mapping product design and implementation and will work with Senior GIS staff to create conceptualized products and standardized mapping templates. Other software usages will include Adobe products (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop); programming languages (e.g., SAS, SQL, Python, JavaScript); and health-related research methods and standards (e.g., HIPAA) in a fast-paced, applied research environment to meet contract deliverables and goals.
