Hoa T. Nguyen achieved her Ph.D. degree in Public Health – Health Promotion, Education and Behavior in May 2019 at the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina. Her research spans from health promotion to health services focusing on food experiences and nutrition as well as maternal and child health. She is particularly interested in applied research that supports global and local stakeholders in developing effective policies, strategies, and programs to address social and health challenges relating to food, nutrition, and health services. She conducts research in the United States and globally to learn how to improve access to food, child nutrition, health equity, and well-being. Among her expertise are big data management and analysis, food insecurity, maternal and child health services, infant and young child feeding, program implementation and management, and program monitoring and evaluation
She is proud and grateful to be part of the IFS compassionate and committed teams. It is in the IFS where she uses data to save lives and see data saving lives.
