(MBA, Strayer University, BS, Business Administration, Southern Wesleyan University, AA, Office Technology, Midlands Technical College)
I attended the historic Booker T. Washington High School and later became part of the early classes to integrate and graduate from Dreher High School. I started my higher education at Midland Technical College.

I was employed at BellSouth and enjoyed 17 years working in the corporate world. The breakup of the Bell System resulted in the elimination of my position in 1995. My ending at BellSouth resulted in a new beginning. I found myself back in my old childhood neighborhood, working at the University of South Carolina.

Joining the Institute for Families in Society at UofSC was transformative for me. I moved from having a “good job” to have a “great growth experience.” Since being at IFS-UofSC, I completed an undergraduate and a master’s degree. I hold leadership positions in university-wide committees, represent IFS at on/off-campus events/meetings, and importantly, I have built new lifelong colleagues and friends within this academic community.

I am currently the Personnel/Office Manager at IFS. I am responsible for planning, coordinating, and performing all human resources functions and serve as the IFS liaison with UofSC units on human resource issues.

Away from work, I enjoy traveling with friends and family. I also enjoy quiet, self-reflective moments reading the Bible and other inspirational books.
