I graduated from Lynchburg College in 2004 with a B.S. in Environmental Science. In my final semesters, I took several GIS courses and loved the connection between spatial characteristics and environmental data, specifically the technical element. After graduation, I started working full time for a large defense contractor as a GIS Analyst and quickly enhanced my GIS knowledge and skillset. Over the years, I have helped several federal agencies and companies build and maintain their GIS infrastructure while enhancing their workflows. In 2010, I completed an MS from George Mason University in Cartographic and Geographic Science.

My career over the last 15 years, prior to joining IFS, allowed me to fine tune many GIS skills and expand my knowledge vastly. It has been exciting to explore the different disciplines that heavily rely on the need for GIS systems to tell their stories. I especially love being able to make that connection so that non-technical personnel are able to visualize data needed to perform their analyses.

In my spare time, I love being with family and outdoors as much as possible. I am proud to be married to my beautiful wife of seven years and counting and the father to our two children who are growing too quickly! We love being on the water in the summer and in the mountains in the winter.
