(MSPH, Biostatistics, University of South Carolina; B.S., Biology and Minor in Computer Science, Lander University) Becky Wilkerson is a Research Associate/Geospatial Analyst with the Division of Medicaid Policy Research (MPR). Her focus is on the application of geospatial statistical analysis and methods, development of custom tooling to meet recurring tasks, and the maintenance of existing custom tools.
Prior to joining the Institute, Ms. Wilkerson spent six years at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) with the Office of Public Health Statistics and Information Services (PHSIS) which housed Vital Records, Biostatistics, Informatics, Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT), Office of the State Toxicologist and the SC Central Cancer Registry. Her work with PHSIS included GIS mapping, spatial data analysis, and managing data and web pages for the EPHT program. Her professional career at DHEC was focused on visual display of data, spatial analysis of data, data management in systems such as SAS, SQL, Access and Excel, and the maintenance and updating of data and web pages in web-based data query systems such as the South Carolina Community Assessment Network (SCAN) and the Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT).
