Ms. Watkins is a Senior Research Associate with extensive experience using the SAS computer language. She has worked as an applications & database developer at SAS Institute in Cary, NC and Meridian Software in Raleigh, NC. Before developing applications she worked as a statistican/senior research analyst for BCBS of North Carolina where she lead the development of the Physician Profiling System. At BCBS of South Carolina she was an analyst/statistician in their durable medical equipment fraud detection unit. As a Senior Research Associate with the Health Services Research Team, Ms. Watkins has lead the automation of reporting processes, provided complex analysis with large Medicaid datasets to support research efforts, and is currently focused on the collaborative development of an Institute Health Data Warehouse.
