(MEd, Elementary Education; MSPH, Environmental Health Science, University of South Carolina) is a research associate and SAS programmer at the Institute for Families in Society. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Science from the University of Bangalore, India. After earning a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina, she taught Mathematics in a middle school for a year, before returning to the University of South Carolina to pursue a Master's degree in Public Health. Prior to joining the Institute, Mrs. Sudarshan worked at the South Carolina Budget and Control Board conducting statistical analysis and data management of data systems with abused and neglected children, children in foster care, and welfare recipients. As a member of the Division of Medicaid Policy Research (MPR), she is currently involved in the analysis of data related to medically complex populations.
