Ms. Passer is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst at the Institute with the Division of Medicaid Policy Research (MPR). Her areas of expertise include geoprocessing, socioeconomic impact analysis, environmental and socioeconomic data compilation, and cartographic design.
Ms. Passer comes to MPR with a background in applied GIS, having completed a Master’s thesis concerning the relationship between socioeconomic status and access to unhealthy food retailers. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked at a private engineering, planning, and design firm in Binghamton, New York as a GIS Specialist doing environmental analysis for transportation projects around the Northeastern US. Her main focus areas will be the acquisition and compilation of data, as well as cartographic design.
