Dr. Liu is a senior research associate with the Institute and is currently involved in the evaluation of Medicaid Programs. She previously worked as the senior statistician for the South Carolina Department of Social Services (1997-2006) and as an epidemiologist for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environment Control (1991-1997). Dr. Liu has extensive experience in the evaluation of social service and health programs and in data management and data analysis using SAS. Articles co-authored by Dr. Liu have appeared in periodicals such as the Journal of Applied Social Sciences, the Journal of Poverty, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Women and Health, Teaching and Teacher Education, and Policy and Practice Magazine.
