James Edwards is a GIS analyst within the Division of Medicaid Policy Research (MPR). Originally from Greenville, NC, James moved to Columbia to pursue a graduate degree at the University of South Carolina. While in graduate school, James worked with geospatial datasets, statistical software, and computer programming to monitor the effects of sea-level rise on coastal ecosystems and communities. His research interests focus on the use of geospatial technology to provide the general public with tools and products to aid in understanding patterns associated with current events affecting South Carolinians.
