Dr. Cheri Shapiro is the Director of the Institute for Families in Society. A Research Associate Professor, she joined the faculty of the Institute in 2011. Dr. Shapiro was trained as a clinical psychologist and has spent her career in direct service, state government, and university-based clinical practice and research settings. An accomplished researcher, the focus of her work has been the dissemination of evidence-based practice at the policy, system, community, and family level.
Dr. Shapiro also serves as the current Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Child and Family Studies.
